From clubbing at Clarke Quay to exploring the beautiful island of Sentosa, Parul and Rajeev find romance in Singapore.

Honeymoon Details
Ours was a typical example of an old saying “Marriages are made in Heavens”. Our families met through a matrimonial site & within one week of first meeting, we got engaged. After that, started the golden courtship period of four months where in we planned everything from venue to menu; events to dresses; invitations to guests. We got married on 6th December, 2006 & our honeymoon was planned from 11th Dec 06 to 18th Dec 06 in Singapore. On both sides, we travelled by "Air Sahara" direct flights.

Why did you choose Singapore?
Singapore – is one of the most beautiful places on the globe, & must say, a paradise for couples like us who happen to visit it for their honeymoon. The beauty of place; its well organized infrastructure; friendly people; convenience of roaming around & above all the feeling of being with some one so close for the first time definitely creates an ambience to live in.

What did you do there?
We enjoyed everything starting from arrival in the state – of – the – art Changi Airport; stay in Hotel Golden Landmark; different dining options; visit to zoo & night safari; various Christmas decorated malls; bollywood movie “Dhoom 2” in Jade II Cinema; the DHL hot air balloon ride; the “Ministry of Sound” discotheque; the Merlion; the Chinese Temple; the Little India; the Orchard Road & the never ending Sentosa Island. Also, the shopping at “Mustafa” has been an experience in itself. The people were always more than happy to click photographs for us.

Where did you stay?
We stayed at Hotel Golden Landmark in Singapore. It’s centrally located & just next to “Bugis” MRT station. The four star property is a good place to live in & service is world class.

Most Romantic Singapore Experience
At Singapore Night Safari (near Zoo), there is a one hour live show organized daily in the evening called “animals show”. The day we reached there, it was raining & all the 3 shows of the evening were cancelled. At that very place, we were first in the queue waiting to be seated, & as the announcement came for cancellation, all people started leaving the place. As it was drizzling, both of us just hugged each other & kept like that only without uttering a word, under rain. We knew, we were experiencing the most romantic moments of our tour.

Tips to fellow readers
Although the city & paid tours are well organized, yet couples can really opt for sight seeing on their own in Singapore. Getting to any place; commuting; means of transport; & other facilities are well guided & one hardly finds any difficulty roaming around. That naturally saves on time & money, & couples can really spend time at any place on their own.
